One of our sons lost his job last November when the plant he had worked at for the past 8 years shut their doors.
He is one of those people that is always busy, always working, always looking for the next thing to keep him busy. While he was working full time - and mostly night shift - at this printing company, he was also running his own lawn care company. Yes, he is one busy boy - always has been!
So he turned the opportunity of being "unemployed" into his big opportunity to get his lawn care business going full-time. I'm proud to say that he has had a very successful winter/spring & summer!!
A couple of weeks ago he asked me to make him some "simple thank you cards" to send to his customers. Wow - is he MY SON or what?!!! I have to admit that put a great big smile on my face!!
So I set myself to the task - simple...no ribbons, no layers, masculine "thank you" cards for a young man that owns a lawn care business. This is what I came up with.
I thought the Medallion stamp in the corner (stamped in Crushed Curry) represents the sun, and the simple sentiment "thank you" is stamped in Old Olive, which represents the grass.
I explained all that to say - he will never think about the sun & grass when he looks at the card!!! LOL!!! He is, after all, a guy!!!
Anyway, I just wanted to share this simple little card with you - which, BTW, is one of Stampin' Up!'s "notecards & envelopes" which is a little smaller than our usual cards - and to tell you that my son asked me to make him some cards.
Go figure!!! LOL!!
Thanks for letting me share that loooongggg story!!! Have a great day!
