I've lost it!!

Now there's a statement that most of my friends & family would agree with!!

What I've lost is my perpetual Birthday Calendar!!  It was my lifeline to keeping organized for birthdays, anniversaries, etc.  I am lost without it!!

I tried to be very organized during our move - and did pretty well until the very, very end.  But what happened was the sale of our home on the VERY FIRST DAY that it hit the market - combined with the closing set for just 3 weeks later!!  Honestly, we thought our home would be on the market for a year or more - because sales in our area were that slow.  But, fate stepped in, and we had a buyer immediately.  Since our new home was 535 miles away - we basically had ONE WEEKEND to pack up everything that was still there - which was about 75% of everything we owned!

Fortunately, Andy & his girlfriend spent a long weekend & helped us finish up.  They did a marvelous job!!  But now I don't know where anything is.  So until I get a chance to empty those last 100 boxes (not kidding too much there!) I just decided to start over on some things....my calendar being one of them.  I still can't find half of my markers, either!  sigh......

Luckily, I had a blank calendar on hand!!  So today, while the rain is pouring down (thank you, God, for that!!)  I will be upstairs creating a new one.  Now, I hope to somehow track down all the information that was in the old one.  Feel free to leave me a post with your birthday if you want a card LOL!!

Too hot!!

Looks like it's going to be another hot & muggy day here in the south.  Not to worry!  Days like these were made for flowers!!

I've been spending a lot of time outside working with my garden - which isn't much to show off this year - and my flowers.  (more on that later!!)

But I took some time off to do some real-time stamping.  It was a welcome break from the heat!!

I just picked up some herbs - potted herbs - from Publix, basil, parsley & thyme - so this set called "Herb Expressions" popped into my mind.  It's so sweet!

The card wanted a matching envelope & the inside decorated, too.  Demanding little card, huh? *wink*  It was all too much fun!!

Better run now - today is jam-packed....no pun intended!!  I am going to attempt BLUEBERRY JAM later this afternoon!!  But first, it's a haircut for me & then lunch with Little Debbie.  Well, not THE Little Debbie -- but she did actually work for the Little Debbie company (McKee Corp) for several years!!!

Birthday Treats!

Today is Misty's birthday - and I can't find a thing!!  It would be funny if it wasn't true!  :)

We are in full swing of moving, and my craft supplies are spread - literally - over about 500 miles.  I'm actually quite impressed that she will have a MATCHING box & card!

Moving?!!  YES!!  I'm sure several of you are saying "what?  she never said anything!"  Well, here's the story....

We actually purchased a home a couple of years ago, with the intention of moving "back home" to Tennessee.  The market wasn't great at that time, so we decided to wait until the following Spring.  But then...."life happened".  When I was diagnosed with breast cancer at Christmas 2009, we put ALL plans on hold, and spent the entire year 2010 battling that disease.

This year....well, things are different!  I am officially cancer free, and we have our plans back on track to move.  So we put our house on the market last Friday - March 25th.

And our house SOLD on Friday - March 25th!!!  Can you stand it?!!   The first showing brought us an offer!  We were taken totally by surprise!  And... the new owners want possession in 5 weeks!  So that gives us about 4 1/2 weeks to move ALL of our possessions.  We definitely have our work cut out for us!

So while I will promise to do my BEST to provide you with updates AND some stamping ideas....I can't promise to post every day!  I will also try to sneak in some peeks at my new diggs, too!  :)

So this is the little gift set I managed to put together for my son's sweet girlfriend.  I think they turned out pretty well!  It's all a mix of Stampin' Up! papers & accessories, with a couple of Paper Trey stamps.  These are truly about all I could find that coordinated!!

Now, I have to run.  We've been invited to her birthday dinner....and I don't have a thing to wear.  Literally, I can't find my clothes LOL!!!

Hello, chickies!  I hope you had a fabulous weekend! 

I did a little stamping, and a little cleaning out.  You'll never believe what I found!!  PAPER!!  Back in the day - when I first joined SU! back in the '90's, one of the incentives we could earn was ordering some basic stamping supplies at a huge discount.  While reorganizing this weekend I found a stack of this Naturals White (or Silver, I think we called it then) paper - about 500 sheets of it!!!  No kidding!  What a fun surprise!!  I have a feeling you'll be seeing lots of samples with this cardstock now LOL!

One thing I really enjoyed this weekend was playing with my stamps!!  I broke out a brand new set - well, I've had it for a while but never inked it up.  This one is called "Greenhouse Garden".  I love it!!  It's a 2-step set and sooo easy to work with :)  I've only used 3 of the 4 flowers here, and matched the centers with them.  They're so easy to line up - and so forgiving!

I liked this color/layout so much that I tried it "sideways".  Then decided to try it with vellum on top.  What do you think?  I think I like it!! The vellum was super-simple to add this way.  I just cut it 1" longer than the front section & wrapped it around to the back where I attached it with SNAIL.  The card didn't need the ribbon to hold it down, it stayed flat without it.  But I liked the ribbon anyway!

Colors here are Peach Parfait with Cajun Craze centers, Pretty in Pink with Regal Rose centers, Regal Rose with Cajun Craze centers, and Pink Pirouette with Regal Rose centers.  Cardstock colors are Regal Rose, Peach Parfait and Naturals White.  The sentiment is from "On Your Birthday".

It's the start of a new week, and I really hope to get back on some kind of schedule.  Last year really threw me for a loop, and this year hasn't started out a whole lot better.  How do you get a stamping mojo when you're all out of whack?!!  *smile*

Here Kitty Kitty!

Last night I had so much fun playing with a kit that I purchased several months ago at a Scrapbook Convention.  Check this out - how cute are these kitties?!!

This is part of a "paper topper kit" by Loralie Designs.  If you've never seen Loralie's designs... you'll want to skip over there right now!!

Loralie has fabric, paper AND rubber stamps.  It is H-E-A-V-E-N-L-Y!! 

These images are all from one of the "toppers kit", so all I did was pop them out & add them to card fronts.  Now how cool is that?!  They were easy to pair with Black & Pretty in Pink.  The glitter was already on the images - gotta love that!

Now, if you're like me and really love coordinated items like fabric & rubber stamps - well, Loralie has those, too :)

I got to meet Loralie in person last summer & instantly loved her.  She's so sweet, cute and obviously very talented.  I think she walks on water, too!!

So today, since it's my very own b'day, I'm going to play a little more with these fun little treasures, and may have to have a little shopping spree over at Loralie's *wink*.
