I ran across this tag while decorating this weekend.  It was one of my favorites from last Christmas so I thought it would be nice to share it with you again.

The base for this tag is a chipboard flower sponged with craft ink.  The rest is just a simple tag, stamped & punched, then layered onto the chipboard.  Add a clip for interest.  Easy, breezy!!  Glad I held onto one to inspire me for this years' candy gifts!!

Sewing Suitely

My, oh my, how the last month flew by!!  And now we find ourselves just a few weeks away from Christmas.  How did that happen??!!

I have been my mom's Designated Driver for the past 2 weeks.  She fell & dislocated her shoulder two weeks ago - and we found out Friday that she has a massive tear in that rotator cuff & will have to have surgery in about 10 days.  Not a happy camper there!!  I keep reminding her that she's lucky she didn't break a hip!!  I also keep reminding her that she's 83 years old & this is her FIRST SURGERY -- EVER!!  I wish I could say that!!

Anyway, in between Dr/Hospital runs, I did manage to make gifts for my IN COLOR CLUB girls, AND - even more impressively - I actually got those kits in the mail last week!!  woo hoo!!  This months' featured color is Island Indigo.  Yummy!  Sort of a "Not Quite Navy" color....but NOT!  LOL!  I wanted to think outside the box this month - and came up with....a box!!  I love how easily this box comes together AND by using a Belly Band around the middle - there is absolutely NO ADHESIVE necessary to hold it together.  What could be better?!!

Isn't this box sweeeeet?!!!  My friend, Sue, made these for the Theatre Guild luncheon last week.  They are so stinkin' adorable!!  And she filled them with MONEY!!  Gotta love that girl!  ok, so it's chocolate money - that's even better!!

I had planned on making a card to coordinate with this box - but then that nasty cold/flu caught Steve & me both last weekend and kept lingering.  Whew!  I didn't do much of anything for the next 5 days!  But we're both feeling better now.  Good thing, too....we've been invited over to a friends house for corned beef & cabbage tonite!!!

My Bookmarks Escape!!

For someone that reads as much as I do, I never seem to be able to find a bookmark!  Seriously, I always seem to have a "Delta napkin" when I'm in-flight, a business card when I'm at home, and who-knows-what when I'm reading in the car.  So I decided that if I'm going to continue to lose my bookmarks - I want the person who finds them to have something cute.  Hence...the tea cup bookmarks!!

This is a darling new set from SU! called "Morning Cup".  I LOVE the stacked cups!!  For these projects, I've used a combination of techniques - basic watercoloring on w/c paper, markers, blender pens - I just mixed it up until I like the results.  When I thought they were all done - I went back with the Signo Gel Pen and added the white accents - lattice & dots.  That was a great touch, I thought.

Colors used are Eggplant Envy & Pear Pizzaz.  Accessories are *new* Eggplant SU! buttons, Pear Pizzaz Ribbon & DSP from Greenhouse Gala.  Such great finds!!  I haven't shown off the new style SU! buttons very much - but they are heavenly!!  I love, love, love them!  Even the BIG buttons in the new mini.  Seriously, girls, you have to give them a try!!

Special Convention Gifts

This sweet little box - and the chocolates inside it! - was my gift to some very special friends of mine at Convention.... my upline and my downline!!

This box is simply called "Box #2", a SU! Sizzix die.  It's so versatile, and perfectly fits a small box of Godiva chocolates!!  You should own this die for that reason alone!!  LOL!!

My little gift was made from Chocolate Chip cardstock, layered with Greenhouse Gala DSP and Pumpkin Pie.  The flowers were cut from another Sizzix die - "Baskets & Blooms", with a new Vintage Brad in the center.  The edges were crushed, curled & sponged with Chocolate Chip and Sponge Daubers.  The tag was made simply from a scrap of Pear Pizzaz with a piece of embroidery thread tied thru the end.

I know I've featured a lot of Greenhouse Gala DSP lately & I have to explain that I really think I keep reaching for it because it has BAJA BREEZE in it!!!  I ADORE Baja Breeze and can't seem to get beyond it now that it's back.  I promise to use something else now!!  *smile*
