Do you realize how quickly Easter is approaching?? It's just a little scary!!
After having so much fun making THESE TAGS for table decorations, I decided to do something similar this year for our dining room table. The thought of napkins & napkin rings just wasn't so very appealing to me this year.
Since my Paper Trey order with this adorable little bunny set called "Polka Dot Parade" had just arrived, it was time to play!
I used the die for the bunny & tail, with SU! ink colors Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery & Daffodil Delight to make 4 little baskets for the table.
The greetings "here comes the" and "BUNNY" are included in the PTI set, and were embossed with White Craft ink & White EP.
I added some teeny rhinestones just to spark them up a bit.
Next, it was time to raid the button bins!! I think all of the buttons are SU! (ret). They were added to a border of Basic Grey DSP, and various SU! cardstock scraps, and the Scallop Border punch.
How fun are these little boxes!! They are made with Sizzix die "Party Favor" box. Nice & easy!!
Projects like this can be overwhelming if you don't start with a very specific plan.
Some tips I can share are these:
1) Choose your colors ahead of time. For example, I wanted 4 boxes, each one a different color. Once I had those 4 colors chosen, THAT was my entire color template.
2) Repeat the same embellishments on each project, just vary the colors. If you notice, all of the boxes have 3 buttons - but they are not all the same button OR the same color.
3) If the projects are small, like these boxes, keeping the details the same - but using different colors - give the appearance of each box being decorated differently. They are actually all decorated the very same, just different colors.
This project was really no different than making 4 of the same cards. I cut each of the pieces at the same time, stamped all 4 bunnies at the same time, and assembled the boxes one step at a time -- doing all 4 in each step. Easy peasy!!
I hope these tips are helpful for you! Sometimes we can get overwhelmed with a project & that steals all the fun.....or at least I know I do that sometimes :) Let's get back to the fun part!!
Happy Stamping!! Thanks for stopping by on my b'day!! :)
