Todays' share will be one of my last Valentine cards for a while! It's surprising how many cards you can make when you really put your mind to it!! *snicker!*
I saw this layout somewhere along the blog, so whoever came up with it KUDOS TO YOU!! I'm sure it has been duplicated many times by now, but I wanted you to know it was not my own.
What is my own is going with the COLOR THROWDOWN swatch this week! I love this color combo!! Lately I've been hooked on gray & silver, so this plays right into my hand.
The hearts are a SU! punch, the central heart is part of a Valentine's Bundle from Stampin' Up! It's quite a cute little stamp!! I added a little rhinestone to the heart for some bling. The designer papers are My Minds' Eye "Lost and Found". I have used them a lot lately, haven't I?!! It's a huge stack (180 sheets) that I really bought to make envelopes, but the colors are so fabulous that I keep adding them to cards!!
The ribbon across the front is kinda different -- I tied a "Martha style" bow, and then attached only ONE of the ends of ribbon to the front with Sticky Strip. Then added a couple of Glue Dots behind the knot to hold the bow securely in place. The left tail of the ribbon just hangs loosely on the card. I'm sure that's been done before, but I have never seen it, so I take credit for MY use of it anyway!!
I loved this sketch so much that I made 2 different versions of this same card:
Not sure if I like the little tags best or the plain one...which do you think??
One thing is for sure, my mom is getting ONE of these cards, with one of those little boxes of Hershey kisses later this morning!! She will be tickled pink :) She loves candy, and loves cards, too. The hand made box will be a bonus for her!!
So that's a wrap for this morning! After delivering my first Valentine gift, I plan on finishing up just a couple more sweet treats....and then like every good stamper...I'm off to the next project!! Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!!
