I've used these notecards & envelopes many, many times before - and find they really are the best for handy little gifts. A set of notecards is always in style whether it's a stocking stuffer, a gift for the new mother, the bride, graduate - or in this case, a little gift for the new college students!
I mentioned earlier in the week that Steve & I had travelled over to Nashville to help give my little 2nd cousin, Alisa, a great send off to Vanderbilt. What I didn't mention is this.... she has a twin sister!! Her twin is moving into her new dorm room this weekend, but it is just a little too far away for us to visit. Alison will be attending the beautiful ELON UNIVERSITY in North Carolina.
I thought the girls might enjoy a little gift packet in a couple of weeks, so I'm starting with a set of notecards & envelopes (postage stamps included!!) for them to send notes to their friends back home....oh, and hopefully to their mom who will have the hardest time with them both gone now!!
These cards are simple & easy. The bird is from "Best of Everything" - yes, I have used it a time or two, haven't I?!! The greetings are from "Friendly Phrases". I've used 3-4 different ones from that set. Colors are Certainly Celery & Chocolate Chip. I used a marker to outline the little dots around the bird. He's adorable!! The ribbon is new Ruffled Lucky Limeade, which matches Certainly Celery wonderfully!!
I managed to complete both sets (6 cards & envys each) for the girls in under half an hour :) I think now is the perfect time to start work on some of those stocking stuffers I just mentioned - don't you?!!
Have a great weekend!!!
