I mentioned last week that I was able to attend one of Stampin' Up!'s regional seminars while we were in Chattanooga - and that I had forgotten my camera cord & couldn't show any pics from that event. Well, I have my cord now and have some things for you!!
The first pic was just a quick shot taken while everyone was arriving. SU! has recently started hosting half-day events, that are much smaller than the previous all day affairs. Personally, I like these shorter versions because they're much more informal and intimate, but we still had make 'n takes and learned lots of stamping tips.
This lovely lady is Joanne Weimers from Madison, AL. I met Joanne at Founder's Circle last month, and she was so gracious to invite me to join her circle of friends for Regionals. She was also a presenter for the event, and showed how her group of stampers use the Big Shot with fabric to create all kinds of wearable art.
One thing SU! did NOT leave out of the events are door prizes! This card was on one of the sample boards & features an upcoming stamp set - which was also one of the door prizes. I don't know the name of the set, but it's all hearts.
Here's another card featuring the same set. This set will be in the upcoming Occasions Mini catalog - available in January 2010.
Be watching for more of this stamp set!!! I will be featuring it with my 2nd annual fundraiser for the American Heart Association in February of next year!!
This stunning pin was a gift from Pam Morgan. A group of us went to dinner with Pam, Carrie Cudney & Shannon West (from SU!) after the event. That was the first time I had spent any "real time" with these girls - and it was wonderful! It was so much fun to be with them & know that they are just like us - they love getting little treats, and giggle & tease with the best of 'em!!
I really want to thank Pam, Carrie & Shannon for all the travel they do to put on these events for SU! I know it meant a lot to me, and I believe the other 99 girls at the event would say the same thing.
I love my job!! Where else can you stamp & get paid for it??
