Big Shot Monday!!

Before I tell you about today's Lattice die project - I MUST remind you....

And speaking of sales - did YOU take advantage of any of the great Black Friday sales??  I did!!  Mostly I just enjoyed watching everyone else - but I did manage to pick up a few little things here & there!

This is the 5th & final week that Sarah & I are featuring the Lattice die.  We've really had a variety of projects with it this month - and only one card!!

I used it to make my own version of a French Bulletin Board!  You can see the corner up close in the first pic, and then this is a picture of my cozy new little office.  I'm crazy about it!  It's nowhere near complete, but I'm slowly but surely getting it together.  The Bulletin Board fits just perfectly in that small space between window & wall....only probably 12" or so.

Pets need love, too!!

My son has been considering pet adoption for some time now, and has been searching the local shelter for the perfect mate.  We were thrilled when he called us last week & asked if we wanted to meet his new baby!!

This is Boulder - named after Boulder, CO - one of Adam's favorite places.  Isn't he beautiful?!!  He's a 6 month old, boxer-terrier mix, and is my newest grand-dog!!

Here we are when we first met.  He loves me!!  Actually, I think this picture shows just how smart this little guy is - he knows who'll be in charge of treats at Grandma's house!!

And here's a picture of Boulder with his daddy-to-be....

 He gets to go home with Adam next week - after all his shots, etc.  What a lucky little fella he is to find a family that loves him!!

I hope you, too, will check the shelters if you're considering a pet for the family this holiday season.  Just walk in the doors of your local shelter & you'll feel the love!

Adjusting the game plan...

A couple of weeks ago I had to back out of a craft fair that I had committed to participate in.  I can say that now without a lot of emotion, but that wasn't the case at the time.  You see, once I make a commitment - I stick to it if at all possible. 

But sometimes, you've just gotta change the game plan.  The bottom line was that I had been over-committing myself for a long time - and my health was paying the price.  I'm learning to do better!

My plan was to have this card as a make 'n take at the craft fair.  It's a simple card to make, and I really like the color scheme.  Plus, I was using SU!'s notecards & envelopes, so there was no cutting & scoring of cardstock!  LOL!!  It also showcases some really good accessories - like the new Ornament Punch, and the stretchy silver cord.

So if you're running out of time and ideas for Christmas cards, you might give this one a try.  Stamps are "Delightful Decorations" and "Four the Holidays", both from the Holiday Mini.  Colors are Real Red and Bashful Blue.  I also used the 1/16" circle punch for the "hanger holes".  Both ornaments are layered with Dimensionals.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoyed shopping today!!  Steve & I went out VERY early this morning & had lots of fun.  Our shopping bags weren't very full, but we did have a good time.  I just might have to take him out again tomorrow!!!

Happy Holidays

Did you know that Christmas cards aren't just for Christmas anymore??  Sometimes you've just gotta think outside the box!!

This is the AWARDS card I sent to members of my downline for STELLAR performance in November.  On the inside I wrote "you SHOULD be merry!!", and congratulated them on their success in November.  Funny, huh?  I thought they would get a chuckle!

Actually, my purpose for the card was not only to congratulate them, but to also give them a little idea of how to use this WINNER of a new set from SU! called "Delightful Decorations".  If you're not familiar with it - it's in the current Holiday Mini Catalog, has a matching PUNCH, and MATCHING RUB-ONS!!  Soooo awesome!!!

The sentiment at the bottom is from "Warm Words", punched with the Modern Label punch & sponged around the edges.  Colors are Bermuda Bay & Melon Mambo, papers are "Thoroughly Modern DSP".  Love these colors for Christmas!!

I hope you have a wonderful THANKSGIVING EVE, and spend lots of time with family & friends over the next few days.  We're going to be eating about 3 times tomorrow with different family members, and meeting new friends.  I can't wait!!!
