This week is flying by, and I think it's because I've been having so much fun working on some Christmas projects. Honestly, holiday projects are SOOO much more fun when you can work on them at a leisurely pace - and not when you're under the gun to get them done. Agree??
This card is a variation of one that the girls made in class last week. Their card looked like this second one....
I try to keep the class cards a little more simple, since they are making 12 cards in about an hour and a half. So let me tell you the differences.
First of all, the stamping is the same. Ink up the stamp (Gifts of Christmas stamp set) in Soft Suede ink, and use a q-tip to remove the ink on the flowers & the sentiment. Then color those items in with a Real Red marker.
The class card was torn along the bottom, and the other sample was a straight cut. For my sample card, I simply added a small strip of "Christmas Cocoa Special" DSP, and a 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain ribbon. Then I used a blender pen to add a really small amount of Soft Suede ink along the dove just for accent. Also added a small amount of Dazzling Diamonds glitter for sparkle. That's the only difference.
So you see how you can really "kick it up" on a card with just a couple of small steps. Cool, huh?!!
Thanks for visiting!
