Founder's Circle Swaps, Part 1

As I mentioned a few days ago, I have lots of beautiful swaps to show you from my trip to St. George, UT a couple of weeks ago.

Many of the cards had a holiday or Christmas theme - so I will save them for later.  But for now, I want to share some of the fall & autumn themed cards.

Since I don't have recipes for most of these cards, I'm going to skip trying to figure out everything used, but I will give credit to the stamper that created them.

The first card was created by Jen Jacobsen.  This could be a Thanksgiving card OR a thank you card.  Love that!

The next card (pumpkin) was created by Colleen Magness.   Check out the little circles on the bottom.  I'll give a little more detail on that in the next few days!

 

The next card (black & tan) was created by Winona Semler.  This one caught my eye because of the neutral colors and use of circles & tags.

 

This next card - with the gorgeous leaves on the front - was  made by Jeanna Cable.  I love that teal leaf on the front!!

I noticed that several of the cards had Sizzix die cuts on them.  I love that we have that option now.  But remember, we had to make 125 cards for this swap!!  That is a LOT of dies to cut!

 

This last card was created by Sara Wiger.  If you click on this one to get a better view - you may see the sparkles in the little piece of background paper.  Sara made this paper using the "smoosh" technique.  I'll go into more detail on this technique later, too!!

I hope you've enjoyed this "mini tour" of my swap cards!  There are lots more to show you, so I'll scatter them in over the next few days/weeks.

For the Love of Cookies!!

I've had an offer going this week with my friends to support Tastefully Simple's ongoing effort of feeding hungry children - so I offered to purchase an equal number of "For the Love of Cookies" as they purchased - which would DOUBLE the donation.  So far I'll be purchasing 14 boxes!!!

Chocolate Chip Toffee Almond Cookie Pizza

Ingredients
For the Love of Cookies™ Chocolate Chip Toffee Almond Cookie Mix

1/4 cup butter, melted
1 egg
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/3 cup Creamy Caramel Sauce

Directions
Combine For the Love of Cookies™ Chocolate Chip Toffee Almond Cookie Mix, melted butter and egg. Mix well. Spread dough in bottom of a greased 8x8 pan. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown. Remove cookie crust from oven.
Sprinkle with marshmallows, nuts and chips. Drizzle with Creamy Caramel Sauce. Return to oven; bake an additional 8 to 10 minutes or until top is melted. Cool completely. Makes 16 servings.

Last Big Shot Monday of the month!!

Got embosslits??!!

It's the last week of the month for Sarah and me to feature the Sizzix embosslits in the SU! catalog.  Next month we have a whole new Big Shot Club planned!!

This card features the "Sweetest Stem" embosslit die on p. 195 in the SU! catalog.  This is a Stampin' Up! EXCLUSIVE die - it can only be ordered from Sarah or me!!

OK.....it can be ordered from any SU! demonstrator - but only Sarah and I will send you the templates & directions to make ALL of the projects that we have featured here this month!  LOL!!

Here's a peek at the inside of this card, too.  Sorry the pictures turned out so grainy this time....I'm playing with some new software and obviously I haven't figured out the best setting yet.  But I will!!  Just hang in there with me!!
