I've been going through hundreds of emails this afternoon & evening and I just now realized that I never got back to posting this afternoon!!  Honestly, I still haven't downloaded those pics from my camera!!  OK, tomorrow - I promise I'll do it tomorrow!!  LOL!!  Actually, Kim sent me a ton of her pics and there are a couple of them that I'm dying to share with you.  ANYWAY!!!  Back to the point here....

THAT HANDSOME GUY is my hubby!!!  (I can't believe I'm admitting it!  LOL!!)

OK, here's the story - we went to a 50's dinner at a friends' house.  There were several couples - we all dressed the part.  Steve carries it off pretty well, doesn't he?!!  I laughed outloud when I saw this picture because I remember very well going shopping at the local Thrift Store to find just the perfect sweater and glasses!!!!

Oh dear, that brought tears to my eyes!!

Vacation is over!

 My bed felt so good last night!!  But I missed the beds on the Big Island.  Serta makes a mattress specially for Hilton Hotels, and I love, love, love those!!  Steve & I both had the BEST nights' rest at the Resort.  But, of course, it's good to be home!!

I wanted to show you this pic because it shows the lava beach.  All the black parts here are lava....the white is coral.  This is NO beach to walk on barefoot!!  The lava will cut like glass, and you probably already know how hard lava is.  I had on my flip-flops here & it was very difficult to walk on.

Just over the mound of dirt (beautifully landscaped mound of dirt!!), this is what the scenery looked like.   aaahhhh.....

I forget exactly how many pools there were at this place - too many to count!  There were "adult only" pools, kids pools with sandy beaches, general pools - well, you get the picture.  Don't forget to click on the pic for a closer view!

As if the pools & scenery weren't enough, most evenings when we returned to our rooms we had things like this sitting on our beds....  I forget which night these were left, but it was the evening before SU! had planned a Beach outing for us.  We're never obligated to go on these tours, but they have shuttle busses reserved for anyone that wants to go.  I just thought it was very thoughtful on their part to have bags for us to carry everything in!

This is "his" bag.  I love that it's embroidered with the Incentive Trip logo!!!

And this was mine...

 These are great bags that I'm sure we will use over & over.  The print on "my" bag (not that they were labelled or anything) is a combination of our logo shirts.  Mine was red print & Steve's was black print.  Very cool!!

I have to post later today - because I haven't downloaded the rest of my pictures from the trip!  This is just from the first couple of days that was on my laptop.  Now I have to put everything on the PC downstairs.  But I couldn't wait to share a little more with you  :-)

OH, speaking of pictures - from someone that NEVER takes pictures - Steve was impressed when I told him I took almost 700 shots this time!  LOL!!  Some of them was when I was playing around taking pictures of street signs that I just liked the name of (like "Likelike" LOL!!)

Waikiki Beach, Hawaii

We're up early this morning - trying to get adjusted back to east coast time before leaving here later today.  Not so sure that's going to work - but we'll give it a try!

So I wanted to share a couple of pics with you from our trip.  First of all, let me tell you that this has been an amazing week - and Stampin' Up! DID NOT fail to live up to their over-the-top way of doing things!!  You'll see a little bit of what I'm talking about here....

This is Kim Mullin & me when we arrived at the airport in Hawaii.  Yes, those are real lei's, and they were more beautiful in person!!  Kim & Scott were on the same flight with Steve & me.  The difference in our hubby's is that MINE WAS AWAKE for the trip!!  Scott doesn't like to fly so Kim made sure he was - shall we say - not awake.  LOL!!  The airport was really cool - it's all "open air".  It's kinda strange to get off the airplane and not have to walk through what I call "the tunnel" to get inside the airport, etc.  Nope, here you just walk down the steps of the plane and pick up your luggage - all outside!!  Way too cool!!  Of course, SU! had shuttle busses to pick us up and take us to the resort, where they had our luggage delivered to our rooms.  I don't know why Steve doesn't do that for me everywhere we go!!!

We arrived Sunday mid-afternoon, and then went to the "Welcome Reception" that SU! had for us Sunday evening.  This pic was taken from a swinging bridge overlooking ONE of the pool areas.  The resort was incredible, and I will try to share several pics over the next few days to give you an idea.

The SU! event was - of course - incredible, too!  We were greeted with flowers for our hair, and a tropical smoothie in little plastic coconuts.  It was so beautiful.  There were lots of traditional foods for us to sample, and just sit around the pools and relax for a while.  The area at the top left of the pic is the ocean!   There was just a small walkway around the edge of the resort that overlooked the Pacific Ocean.  The sunsets were incredible.

 Here is a pic of the foyer of our hotel.  I love, love, love the open-air hotels & restaurants over here!!  This view is from our 6th floor room, looking down into the center of the hotel.  There is no roof!!  These palm trees must be 60-70' tall and stick up out of the middle of the hotel.  If it rains, well, the trees & foliage get watered!!  It is so awesome!

Our room overlooked the golf course, which was - as you can imagine, unbelievably beautiful.  Steve & the guys did manage to get in a round of golf while we were there.  How could you NOT play golf while in Hawaii??!!!

 

This is Steve & me on our way to a buffet breakfast Monday morning that SU! hosted for us.  There were several waterfalls here, and here we were standing in front of a big lagoon filled with all kinds of sea life.  Here's a shot of just one of them...

Isn't he cute?!!  We enjoyed seeing all the brightly colored fishes, and even some eels in the lagoon!  We didn't get the chance to go snorkeling here at the resort, but we DID get to go another day at one of the nearby beaches.  That was awesome, too!

Well, I better wrap it up for now.  I have packing to do this morning & a plane to catch.  Did I tell you we almost missed our plane coming over here last Sunday?!!  I vowed I will NEVER cut it that close in getting to the airport again!  LOL!!
