Last week I had planned on sharing some things with you from my WORLD CARD MAKING DAY event, but life got in the way.
My focus was on the Simply Sent kits that were on special for that weekend, and how to use them in some ways other than the samples that came with each kit. (pps 12-14 SU! catalog)
Here is one of the kits....Three Thoughts.....which is probably my favorite of all of them. Inside each kit is a booklet with instructions to make both of these cards.
Did you know that all of the cardstock is PRECUT AND PRE-SCORED??? Did you know that EVERY ITEM IS INCLUDED to make 6 each of these 2 cards??? That's 12 cards in all!!
OK....here are the real, live samples from what comes in the kit...
I absolutely ADORE these cards! See the big, gold flower?? That's chipboard with a STICKER on top! And another STICKER in the middle of that one....and the green stripe?? That's a STICKER, too! hee hee!! It took 45 seconds to make this card! There is one sentiment stamped in the lower right-hand corner.... hard to see in the pic.
And the green card....the 3 stripes across the back?? You got it....STICKERS! The brackets around the greeting?? Yep, chipboard with STICKERS on top! The flower is also a....yep, STICKER! And the white paper in the middle??? Yep, that's a STICKER with a greeting stamped on top! Another 45 second creation!!
Now, don't get me wrong....I DO NOT want to use stickers all the time to make my cards!!! But, I'm human, too (SHOCKING NEWS TO MY KIDS!!) and sometimes I only have 45 seconds to make a card! THIS IS THE BOX I WILL REACH FOR!!!
Here's what the girls made at the event....
Completely different look, huh? Same kit, but I changed colors and styles to create a little more of a masculine look. All of the girls liked these 2 cards because WE ALL STRUGGLE WITH GUY CARDS!! LOL!!!!
These cards were simple, too....(especially since everything was already pre-cut & pre-scored for them!)
I hope you like them....and I hope you like the kits. I'll post some of the other samples the girls made over the next few days.
Happy Wednesday!
